Part-Time Recreation Secretary Position Available
The Washington Park District is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Recreation Secretary. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and should be able to quickly learn and operate computer software. First Aid and CPR certification is required or must be obtained upon hire.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Part-Time Recreation Secretary will be responsible for managing walk-in registration transactions, handling phone calls, and addressing questions and inquiries related to Washington Park District programs, facilities, and services. Additionally, this role includes serving as an evening and weekend supervisor for the Recreation Facility, ensuring the building is secured at the end of shift hours.
Work Schedule: Typical hours could include Monday-Thursday, 4:00-8:00 PM; Friday, 2:00-6:00 PM; and Saturday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. The schedule will vary based on availability and district needs, and there may be opportunities for daytime shifts.
Ideal Candidates: This position is perfect for individuals who may be retired or have children who are out of the house and are looking for meaningful part-time work with flexible hours.

- Preference will be given to park maintenance applicants that are 18 year or older
**Certain 15-year-old candidates will be hired based on the individual candidate and Washington Park District staffing needs.
